The girl from the quiet Sussex that came to revolutionize the ways we decorate and sees are own houses. Her mantra is quite simple “say yes to everything”,
This explains her all journey, that has begun as a young creative studying Art at Camberwell College of Arts in London. After graduating, she was quick to gain experience in the fashion industry.
She spent years taking on internships, often jumping between magazines like Vogue Russia and Wonderland Magazine.
She has also connected to fashion photography, styling, and former British Vogue fashion director Venetia Scott. While frequenting shoots with V. Scott, she developed an admiration for the variety of creative possibilities that her job could offer. Matilda then started becoming particularly curious about details in set design and props. She usually emphasizes a specific moment where she went into a prop house and saw the possibilities her creativity could extend to, creating sets and physical spaces.

Living in her own world of color, contrast, and mixed styles, in 2016 the world is presented with Matilda Goad brand.
The brand soon pops out and its popular scallop-edged lampshades – a design that Matilda strives for putting all her effort into, contacting more than 20 factories in the pursuit of producing just one sample idea – amongst other beautiful home accessories, which have catapulted it to the success it has.
