When we think of creative minds there is a lot of names that pop up in our heads. But one is certainly mandatory. Patricia Urquiola.
Born in Oviedo Spain in the ’60s, there’s nothing that she can’t do.
Architect and designer, her repertory is beyond our imaginations.
She attended the University of Architecture at Madrid Polytechnic and Milan Polytechnic, where she graduated in 1989 with Achille Castiglioni. She never left the city since then.
In 2001 Patricia Urquiola and her partner, Alberto Zontone, founded STUDIO URQUIOLA. The studio works in general for industrial design and architecture to hotels, retail spaces, residences, exhibitions and installations, and also art direction and consulting.
With reference works that go from showrooms and installations for Hermès, Gianvito Rossi, Flos, Moroso, H&M. And several international awards and prices. Some of her products are exposed in the permanent collection of Moma in New York and other international museums.
Contemporary, minimal, and quite personal. Her style is familiar and unexplored.
We select a few of our favourite products and projects for you to delight yourself in.
