The Adolphus Hotel is recognized for more than a century as the iconic address for Dallas hospitality. Is an upscale hotel and Dallas Landmark in the Main Street District of Downtown Dallas Dallas, Texas. It was for several years the tallest building in the state. In addition, the Adolphus Hotel was featured in Victor H. Green’s Negro Motorist Green Book in 1936.
The Adolphus Hotel’s Beaux Arts grandeur and Germanic exterior still have his charm, but some refreshment was in order. While Swoon, the Studio didn’t have Busch’s Texas-sized budget it had similarly big ambitions, tackling each communal space with an eye to modernize all the decadence without diminishing Busch’s achievements. Careful touches of gold leaf and custom rugs only accentuate true gems, such as a 100-year-old marble floor Swoon uncovered during demolition. It’s really a stunning place don’t you think?
