The French Chairs design by Kwok Hoi Chan for Steiner, 1970s.
Kwok Hoi Chan was an emblematic figure of international design who emigrated from Hong Kong to England and France. In France, he paired up with the Parisian manufacturer Steiner. Even though Chan was deeply invested in European and international design, he has always stayed loyal to his Chinese origins. His furniture resembles an imaginary alphabet borrowed from Chinese calligraphy. His trademark is a suspended tubular frame which is combined with an organic shaped seating.

by Rogerio Pereira

Like what you’ve read? Feel free to share your thoughts in this article and Subscribe to our blog and you’ll be the first to hear about our updates | Don’t forget to follow us on our social media Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Tiktok, and Issuu.

5 Iconic Upholstery Design Pieces Throughout the years the designers have been recreating the never ending cicle of interior design style and trends.
