Iconic Egg chair, originally designed in 1958 and made by Fritz Hansen in Denmark. Designed in the fifties, the Egg Chair is a design classic that has become one of the most recognizable and copied chairs of all time. The original Egg was created by\u00a0the Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen<\/b>\u00a0in 1958 for the SAS Royal Hotel in downtown Copenhagen.

Drawing inspiration from the frame of a bicycle and influenced by the constructivist theories of the De Stijl Movement, Marcel Breuer reduced the classic club chair to its elemental lines and planes, hence changing the course of furniture design. The Wassily Chair was much more simplistic and structurally exposed compared to other chairs in the 1920s. It was an abstract piece of art.

The Swiss architect Pierre Jeanneret in the 1950s made the first draw teak-and-cane chair: The people needed seats. The design was just one of several by Jeanneret that would be produced by the thousands for Chandigarh, India, the utopian city created by his cousin Le Corbusier.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Michel Boyer was born in a period of craftsmen and architects. Within the context of this family tradition, he first enrolled at the school of Beaux-Arts in Paris, and then in 1957, at l’\u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure des Arts D\u00e9coratifs, where he studied in the Studio of the famous decorator Andr\u00e9 Arbus. In 1970 he present the design lovers with timeless pieces made in tubular steel and cylinder-shaped seats in original brown leather.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This piece has been attributed based on archival documentation, such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources. The French Chairs design by Kwok Hoi Chan for Steiner, 1970s. Kwok Hoi Chan was an emblematic figure of international design who emigrated from Hong Kong to England and France. In France, he paired up with the Parisian manufacturer Steiner. Even though Chan was deeply invested in European and international design, he has always stayed loyal to his Chinese origins. His furniture resembles an imaginary alphabet borrowed from Chinese calligraphy. His trademark is a suspended tubular frame which is combined with an organic shaped seating.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
